Exceptional Service Compassionate People and Best Vets ever. After a previous vet distressing experience with two previous vets, finding Dr. Chloe Stead at Langley Vets has been an absolute blessing. I don't even live in Abbots Langley, but making the journey to see her is entirely worth it. One previous vet completely failed to tell me that my cat had a fever, and the one before that misdiagnosed it as a back leg issue—charging me a huge amount of money and getting me absolutely no closer to finding out what was wrong as they all could see he was subdued.
Chloe was completely different. During our very first visit, she was incredibly thorough and discussed the various investigations we could run. She immediately addressed his high temperature with a steroid injection and much-needed hydration.
She is so reliable, transparent, and fair. She booked three appointments for us, and the total cost for all three combined was under £400. This incredibly reasonable price included multiple blood tests, a blood smear, injections, and hydration therapy.
Thanks to her excellent care, my cat is now significantly improving. We are currently waiting for his latest results and hoping his red blood cells are successfully rebuilding. I am so thankful I found Chloe—she has been an absolute lifesaver

My rabbits were registered at Vets4Pets Watford-based veterinary practice. We had an emergency situation arise with one of my rabbits on a Saturday morning. I called my registered practice, who told me they couldn’t see or help us. I then called four other Watford vets (Medivet Watford, Hello Vet Bushey, Blythwood Vets Bushey & Vets Now Hemel) all of whom also couldn’t help, giving the same reasons — they didn’t have an exotic vet and/or didn’t have a vet working at weekends.
I find this personally appalling.
Thankfully, Blythwood Vets Bushey recommended that I call Langley Vets, as their exotics vet had opened it as her own branch. Langley Vets told us to come in as soon as we could. They saw us as soon as we arrived and carried out the most thorough assessment possible, with the most compassionate care towards both my rabbit and myself.
All of the staff were incredibly supportive, and Chloe, the vet, was very clear about the treatment options available to us, how they would affect us financially and physically, and gave us the time and space to make a decision without any pressure. She supported us throughout our chosen treatment option, and our weekly follow-up appointments since then have received exactly the same level of care.
Always thorough, always calm, patient and empathetic.
We have now been signed off from our weekly updates, as my rabbit is doing well. I cannot thank the practice and Chloe enough for everything they have done for us.
Both of my rabbits are now registered there, as I know that whether it’s for their routine vaccinations or an emergency, there will always be someone there for my rabbits — and, more importantly, someone who genuinely cares. Someone who is there for the animal, not just for the money that comes from the service being provided.
I honestly cannot recommend Langley Vets and Chloe enough. They went above and beyond for us when we needed them most, and I am incredibly grateful.
Our rabbit became suddenly very ill and we wasn’t sure what to do. So we phoned around and no one was able to see us. And then when we phoned Langley Vets they couldn’t have been more helpful from start to finish. They were quick to see us within an hour of phoning and diagnosed and gave treatment on the day. Our rabbit is now on the mend and back on track to being a fully healthy bunny. Can’t thank the team at Langley Vets enough for their help and support. Would highly recommended to anyone! I live in London and had to travel due to most exotic vets working only Monday's and Tuesdays, and my emergency occured on a Wednesday! I'm registered with 4 different vets across London due to this.
I can honestly say that although Langley Vets are an hour away, I've found my permanent vet practice and am willing to travel!
EVERYONE was so kind, professional, caring, and incredibly informative and helpful. It's such a relief to have found a vet that treats exotic animals all days of the week (bar Sundays because everyone needs a rest!) I cannot thank you all enough for the kindness, care and dedication you've shown not only to my terrapin, but to other animals. The pricing was fantastic as well!

The most caring and excellent vets I’ve ever been to, looked after my cat who had cancer, and went above and beyond with his care, can not recommend them enough , phenomenal!

I cant thank Chloe, Emily and the team enough. We arrived at the door with our pug at opening time hoping to be seen due to tooth issue, my dog was clearly uncomfortable from the night before. We were seen straight away for consultation and bloods and booked in that same day to have a procedure to elivate his discomfort. After a long day and a three hour procedure, which ended up being a lot bigger than expected, and a fair few teeth removed my pug was comfy and recovering well due to the care of the entire team. I was regularly updated on calls and coming into my salon to tell me face to face as I work in the village, my pug is now home sleeping and pain free. I will be forever grateful for everthing they have done.
What a great vet, not just good advice for my poorly dragon after I followed incorrect care instructions but they actually care about the animal to the point of a follow up call to see how he was doing.
