I just wanted to thank everyone at Letchworth vets. We had a very poorly dog (Rambo) who unfortunately had to be euthanised. They made sure we made the right decision. Their approach was very compassionate and we have received some lovely cards and messages of condolences from them. We had him cremated and we now have him back home. Once again thank you Steve & Geraldine Coles.

All three of our pets have been registered with Letchworth Vets over the years and, generally, the care we have received has been acceptable. However, I was extremely disappointed by our most recent experience. Sadly, our dog Bella developed a tumour and we ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to have her put to sleep. Due to construction work at Letchworth Vets, they were unable to scan her, so we had to transport her to Deepdale in Sandy, where we sadly had to say goodbye to her. What particularly upset me was the lack of any acknowledgement from Letchworth Vets afterwards. We received no card, message or even the seeds that can be planted in memory of a much-loved pet. Deepdale, on the other hand, provided us with seeds to plant for Bella, which was such a small but incredibly thoughtful gesture during an awful time. The contrast between the two experiences left me feeling that Bella simply didn't matter to Letchworth Vets. I appreciate that these gestures may seem insignificant, but when you have just lost a much-loved member of your family, they mean an enormous amount. This single experience has unfortunately left me feeling very disappointed and, ultimately, quite angry. It has significantly changed how I feel about the practice after years of using them. Ironically, the one thing that arrived promptly was our final bill. Letchworth Vets, please do better.

I found a cat and bought it to the vets I was never contacted about collecting her so I’m only hoping that her owner was found

The vets working here have a real love for the animals they treat. My cats are always calmed and given attention. The cat stand helps immensely.

Good vets, lovely caring attitude but also quick and professional. Waiting area offers the ability to separate cats and dogs, and you can see in through a window to see what animals are in the waiting area before you enter. Parking directly outside too so the logistics of a visit is good. Opening hours are also handy at times when other vets are closed - main reason we switched from our original vet.
