The veterinary service itself is excellent — the staff are caring, professional, and I’m very happy with the treatment my cat received. However, the online admin system really needs some attention. I’ve had emails reminding me of checkups that weren’t actually due, and on two occasions I was told at the clinic that the reminders were incorrect. I also received an email the day after a completed visit saying I had missed an appointment and needed to rebook. It would be great if the online system could be updated to match the quality of the in-person care.

I’ve never been more disappointed by any veterinary service than I am by Medivet. When my cat Louis had an accident and fractured his pelvis, instead of receiving compassionate, professional care, I was met with a relentless focus on cost. They charge exorbitantly (£1,400 for imaging and bloods) as soon as I walked through the door and yet failed to provide basic human decency or transparency. After several unclear back and forths on the phone about our options which were again incredibly vague and centred around money making we realised that Medivet's sole focus was not on the wellbeing of our cat but to extract funds from us l. We attempted to have the X‑rays transferred to Oak Vets and were met with excuses (“we’re closed now”), despite me explicitly paying for the imaging and this being an emergency. This lack of cooperation was not only unprofessional, but deeply distressing. In stark contrast, Oak Vets a family run business treated us with empathy, provided clear explanations, allowed us to stay with Louis, and arranged a more sensible, affordable plan in coordination with RVC. Their compassion and pragmatism underscored just how poor Medivet’s service truly was. If you genuinely care about your pet’s well‑being—look elsewhere. This is a chain that literally does not care. Medivet showed a blatant disregard for both our emotional distress and financial investment. I sincerely regret ever entrusting them with Louis.
